About the event:
The seminar ‘Making the Case for Development Education in Youth Work' will provide youth worker practitioners and policy experts with a space to discuss and debate the link between policy and practice through expert inputs, panel discussions and a good practice showcase. It will highlight key policies at a national and European level that help shape development education practice in the youth sector and examine how the youth sector can influence the development of these policies.

Participants will have an increased understanding of the policies that influence development education delivery in the youth sector, while policy makers will have an increased awareness of the critical role of non-formal development education with young people for development and implementation of relevant policies.

Recommendations arising from the seminar will support NYCI’s ongoing advocacy work in relation to development education.
